"I started coming to Brooke for private yoga sessions because of a painful shoulder. My right
shoulder had been bothering me for months – pain with everyday activities like dressing,
turning a door knob, using the computer, and lifting. Getting to sleep in a comfortable position
was difficult, too. This was a dull ache that would sometimes give a sharp twinge. At this time, I
was not able to follow my normal exercise routine which consisted of aerobics and light weight
training.
After the first session with Brooke I felt hopeful about my shoulder – she gave me advice to
carry out at home so that I could sleep in a comfortable position and relax the tension in my
neck and shoulder area. After four sessions, the pain was significantly reduced and I was able
to carry out daily activities without recurrence of the pain. After four to six private sessions, I was
so excited to be pain free in that shoulder. And the added bonus – I was noticing a total body
relaxation and balance of muscle tension in my entire body. I am also working with Brooke on
reducing anxiety and handling stress with positive results.
The breathing techniques, body work, and specific postures/movements for my specific needs

About Brooke
Brooke Cannoot, MS OTR/L, RYT is a yoga teacher who also happens to be an occupational
therapist. She discovered yoga in 2002 as a way to cope with stress and relieve her routine
migraine headaches. She was AMAZED by how great she felt just after her first class! She
continued to practice yoga throughout graduate school and knew early in her training, that YOGA
would be her main tool in her scope of practice. Brooke throughly believes in yoga's power to
open the body to healing!
Brooke also believes that everyone can practice yoga and receive these healing benefits
regardless of age or abilities. One simply has to discover the practice that works best for them!
She studies and practices a unique form of healing called the Navagraha Profile, which is in the
tradition of the modern sage, Edward Tarabilda and is able to work with individuals based on
their unique strengths, gifts and challenges.
Brooke opened Dhanwantari Center in the Summer of 2007 to share yoga with the Michiana
community. She specializes in working one-on-one to help relieve chronic pain, depression,
anxiety, + more and to get people back to their lives! In addition to teaching at Dhanwantari
Center, Brooke has also taught locally at corporate offices, at Indiana University South Bend as
part of their Health & Wellness cirriculum and at the Culver Academies as part of their Spiritual
Ministries.
